The CPMR’s transport priorities are to promote accessibility at EU level for peripheral, outermost and island regions, to develop sustainable maritime transport, and to connect the European peripheries with their neighbours.

It does this by influencing the implementation of two European instruments:

  • the Trans European Transport Network (TEN-T) with 5 of 9 corridors crossing the area
  • the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) with the BBSC monitoring its post-2020 review.

The CPMR also aims to acquaint the Regions with the EU Motorways of the Sea (MoS) concept.

The CPMR Transport Working Group welcomes its BBSC Members’ further involvement, with an aim to achieve more tangible results during the forthcoming Bulgarian and Romanian EU Presidencies.
